Who can say they are enlightened?
It is as if clouds are obscuring the sun, which cloud can say “I am letting the sun pass through”?
No cloud can claim.to be “enlightened” because, when the sun shines through, the cloud is absent.
It is the same with a human.being. When enlightenment shines through, the person is absent.
People may see the light shining into the world and say “there is enlightenment!”. In.this there may be truth. But there is no longer a person left to claim it.
The sun is shining behind every cloud. Darkness is in proportion to the density of the cloud, just as it is in proportion to the density of the ego.
When the ego dissipates completely, light is effulgent.
