Sometimes a thought is accompanied by a bodily sensation
They arise together
Like an anxiety thought and the sensation of tightness in the throat or chest
This reinforces the sense of a “me”
When “me” feels stronger, so does other. We may feel the world is against us. That’s just another thought arising.
In truth you are the witness to these thoughts and sensations. You don’t have thoughts, you witness them.
With emotions we say we feel them. That’s how they appear to awareness. Just as a fire appears as heat, light and sound.
We see a bee on a flower and we don’t think “my bee” or “my flower”. Be the same with your thoughts and emotions. There really is nothing personal.
